Pyxis Engineering understands the importance of protecting enterprise assets and is positioning itself to be a leader in Information Assurance. The first step in this process is by hiring Mrs. Vonda Williams, a proven leader in the field, as Director of Information Assurance.
Mrs. Williams is positioning Pyxis Engineering as a provider of innovative world class Information Assurance (IA) services in Identity Management (IM) by utilizing Key Infrastructure (KMI), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Privileged Management Infrastructure (PMI); access control utilizing /role based software, smart card, biometrics, and knowledge switch technology integration. Pyxis Engineering staff provides proven consulting in the area of Program Management, Strategic & Business Plan, requirements analysis, business cases, IA/IT enterprise utilizing DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), concept of operations (CONOPs), security policies and procedures, risk management threat & vulnerability analysis, business continuity of operations plans (COOPs), and disaster recovery plans. Pyxis Engineering understands the importance of implementing state-of-the art technology by balancing national level policies/mandates such as the -Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Clinger-cohen Act (CCA), Federal Privacy Act, and other various policies including policy in varying vertical markets. Pyxis Engineering specializes in implementing sound IT architecture by balancing system life cycle with security. Pyxis Engineering provides experience in the IC and DoD Information regulations, requirements, and policy such as Director of Intelligence Directive 6/3 (DCID 6/3), NSA/CSS Information Systems Certification & Accreditation Process (NISCAP), and DoD Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP). Additional knowledge in Joint DoDIIS/Cryptologic Information Systems Security Standards (JDCSISSS) Manual, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) of 2002, Public Law -347, Applicable requirements in Appendix III to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-130, and Security Training and (DoDD 8570.1).
